Thanks @rough-autumn-89795 , @ancient-area-35708 - when it comes to books that teaches you mental models or helps in structuring your habits these are definitely not page turners. It takes considerable amount of time to read, process and execute in your work. The guilt to not have absorbed the book fully and quickly is something that you have to work on. @acceptable-flag-71699 - got to know that amazon kindle has a summarized version called single. P.S: Just spent 5K on books that was on wishlist for a long time.

Interesting, 5k is a lot of money, unless you bought alot of hard covers, which books did you end up buying?
s
Interesting, if you are overwhelmed, then you need to read exactly what will help you, not 10 other un-related things Regarding investment, always account TIME - eg: reading 10 books bought for 5K vs one course for 10K vs one consulting call worth 10K that - how much time did you take in solving your problems? Books take longest time unfortunately - so be very careful with that, protect your time and energy always

@crooked-tent-69024 I got 2 expensive ones 1. Web Analytics 2.0 by Avinash Kaushik (I wanted to understand analytical concepts. Did a research and asked few people. I think I made the right choice) 2. Pragmatic thinking - wanted to understand models or methods for reading all these books and retaining the info. 3. Crossing the chasm 4. Measure what matters 5. Super Thinking.
@swift-pilot-25722 I became super conscious of my time and energy. So I had to cherry pick books that will help solve my problems at work and personal side projects.

Interesting read to explore on Mental Models - https://www.amazon.com/Great-Mental-Models-Thinking-Concepts-ebook/dp/B07P79P8ST I also have the audible version but Shane usually summarizes deep concepts very simply and in an elegant way

Here's the collection guys, yet to receive pragmatic thinking and learning. PS: didn't order Sidney sheldon. That's an old book.
