Hey folks! I just got an Audible subscription. What's the best audiobook you have listened to?
v
Fiction or Non-fiction?
o
I haven't listened to audiobooks yet but I think the format suits more for fiction. I could be wrong though!
v
In fiction, all the Wheel of Time books are the best audiobooks of all time. Michael Kramer and Kate Reading, a husband wife duo, are phenomenal. Take a look at reviews for the last 3 books:

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that much of Audible's early success is due to this series.

Wow, then it's sorted. That's the one I'm starting my journey with!
v
The first book is called "Eye of the World". Do you usually read fantasy?
o
I have mostly read non-fiction books and a couple of sci-fi ones till now.
v
Try the first book then, it's pretty good.
o
I don't see it in Audible store. Is it not available in India?
v
Oh -- I forgot about that. I am on Audible US
o
Ah, okay!

For light SciFi look at expeditionary force. Phenomenal narrating by RC Bray
Born a Crime is awesome because of Trevor Noah narrating it himself

Greek mythology, Sherlock Holmes by Stephen fry. Fry is good. His Harry Potter is also good.

+1 for anything from Stephen Fry . I really like everything from Neil Gaiman too because of his voice. I really liked World War z, A gentleman in Moscow and Red notice too

world war z audibook is good 👍

I have enjoyed the following non fiction on Audible. I find it is important to get the narration right - else I just pick up the paper / kindle copy: 1. Atomic Habits - James Clear 2. Stuff Matters - Mark Miodownik 3. This is Marketing - Seth Godin 4. Sapiens - Yuval Harari 5. Mans Search for Meaning - Viktor Frankl 6. The Gardener and the Carpenter - Alison Gopnik

@victorious-energy-56764 @orange-kite-82153 If you are into fantasy, Stormlight Archives has way better audio (sound effects and everything) and is a better series (slightly subjective). Sadly it's not available either on Audible India.
p
btw, people who are using Audible, have you tried out Storytel. I kindoff keep taking its 3 month subscription once or twice a year. Audible's 1 credit is too little for me, and I have found atleast half of the book on audible available on Storytel too (plus its unlimited books for Rs 600 for 3 months). The app sucks big time though
v
Stormlight Archives
+1. I have read everything written by Brandon Sanderson.
