I wish to start reading books from Hindi Literature, untranslated. Though Hindi is my mother-tongue and I have learnt Hindi as a subject in school, I have always felt reading novels in Hindi an extremely difficult task. Can you please suggest me books in Hindi where I can start from?

A friend of mine wanted to do the same thing. She was suggested to start with the works of Premchand. He is 20th century writer with a dozen novels and many essays published.
