@crooked-horse-12661 I’ve noticed that in my case, the only ratings that matter are 1-star or 4-star (2 is the same as 1, 5 is the same as 4, 3 is useless). If I end up finishing the book, it’s 4+ star rating, if not it’s a 1 star rating. Rating a book 1-3 stars after finishing means a waste of time reading that book. A 5-star rating can be used to signal re-readability.
But like you said, it’s highly subjective and personal. I’ve abandoned well-recommended and high-rated books, so I don’t trust anyone anymore 😄
