Kindle Paperwhite 10th gen or Kindle Oasis?
f
If it is not urgent and you are willing to wait then Amazon is expected to release refreshed kindles this year. New e-ink displays, USB C, etc.

Oasis for a book lover for sure. Slightly bigger screen, page turn buttons, good spine and weight distribution

Kindle Oasis FTW! 😊 I bought one the last Amazon Sale and it has been quite good and a major step up from my Kindle (non paper white) that I was using for many years.

I'm leaning towards the Oasis too, still haven't decided
Just concerned about note taking. I take notes on my highhlights frequently and want to know if the larger dislpay of the oasis makes it harder to take notes
@loud-glass-33663 @damp-coat-97256 Any reason why you opted for oasis over paperwhite?

After the touch screen died on my previous kindle, I was keen to have physical buttons. Plus I have owned the Gen 2 and Gen 3 of Kindles which had physical buttons + physical keyboards and I really miss the physical page turn buttons. That was the primary reason. But the shape has turned out to be very ergonomic for one handed reading and the warm light is a good add-on. Makes it feel more like a book. Pair it with one of the Amazon Covers. They are a slightly pricey but will make the device feel super premium.

Ha ha @loud-glass-33663 - same experience. The Kindle Keyboard was far too good with the keyboard, buttons and even had mp3 support. Had a paperwhite then and wasn’t feeling great with it.
💯 1
This is the Kindle Keyboard
l
I had this one as well before the Gen 3. Still have it but battery has died completely. The only thing is that it was super sluggish. The keyboard was okay but the turn buttons are a must.

How's the typing experience? @loud-glass-33663 I highlight and a lot and take notes on the my Kindle mobile app and want to do the same on my Kindle. Can you type with both hands with no friction or is it annoying a bit? The paperwhite seems smaller and more like a phone, so a shallow assumption is that it's easier to type on.
l
I don’t type at all on my Kindle @broad-camera-13514. At max, I will highlight notes - but no typing for me.
f
I've tried typing on my Kindle Basic. It's really bad and inaccurate.

Sorry for the unrelated message, but I recently found out about https://remarkable.com/store/remarkable-2 and it seems like such an upgrade on Kindles. They don't ship to India though 😞 Looks like the only way to get it would be through someone you know in one of the countries they ship to.
