I watched the Dune movie yesterday. Was blown away by the visuals & music. Slightly disappointed by the far from comprehensive coverage of the book though I can understand that it might just not be possible.

Also try watching the 1984 Dune movie. It shows a bit more stuff than the new movie.

@quaint-elephant-2032 no movie can capture all the details from a book, it's kind of a truism at this point now.

True, though one can still be (slightly) disappointed by it. Specially because as I realized that the movie is missing some context making it almost impossible for a person who hasn't read the book to follow along. I loved the movie though.
