No doubt. Gitlab is one of the leaders in remote working space. Nothing against them, there are tons of factors other than salary. Companies will always have the first saying in this as they are paying and there is always someone ready to work for a bit less (regardless of location). I think, remote work is all about freedom and choice. Just like we expect companies to hire the best they can in their budget, we should also thrive for the best company we can get. I’m not sure if I’d want to work with a company which thinks that I should earn less because where I live.
