Which external portable drive do you guys use for time machine backups? 🤔

Using this: https://amzn.to/3dliMNA since 2016. 1 TB, WD. I use it for my own mac but I think I have used it for my wife’s mac as well.

I bought the Samsung T5 USB 3.1, USB-C connector recently. Even the T7 is now available at a similar price. IMO, these are the best backup devices available for general public. (I used Seagate for 3 years before that and WD Passport for 3 years before that). Amazon link for the 1TB T5.

@loud-glass-33663 @victorious-energy-56764 thank you ♥️ looks like other friends seem to be suggesting either WD or Samsung T5 as well. I guess the benefit T5 has is usb 3.1 hence faster speeds while WD is easier on pocket
