How remote trend will shape up?
I am a front end developer and my current job is not a fully remote, currently itβs a WFH till Covid lasts, but I am planning to have fully remote job/freelancing due to aged parents and GF has a location dependent (gov.) job. How difficult/easy it would be to get remote work for 6+ years experience in JavaScript, React.js? This will help me to settle up in social life.

Number of ReactJS opportunities are very high compared to other tech stack . You will not have any difficulty in finding one. When I decided to switch to remote contracts. I got an offer within 10 days.

Frontend and JS positions in general are plenty in remote-only orgs, and your skillset + work exp. is sufficient to land a good remote-only position. I've been JS developer for over 8 years and working remotely full time for past 5 years.
If you're already in a city where you have most of your social circle present, you can either push for your company to allow you to work remotely full time for the long term (while you search for a position that's remote-only).

@elegant-rose-70104 when the time comes, just ask your existing company to allow you to work 100% remote. Most of the times, they would probably agree. (WFH until COVID is going to be here for quite sometime).

I was applying in the job market two to three months ago. And the situation for React and JS Developers is a Gold Rush right now!
The demand is huge, that much I can say.

It's not difficult at all.
Our entire team is remote and spread across 9 different states of India. No two teammates are in the same town/city We were remote even before COVID.
After COVID, even more, companies are moving to a partial or complete remote workforce so it wouldn't be difficult to find work at all.
