For those who live in apartments, what's the covid infection rate looking like? A couple of weeks ago we barely had like 2 active cases and despite all warnings people played holi and walked around without any care and we have like 40 cases now. And people are still not wearing masks.

Surprising, Which town you are in? I'm in a relatively smaller town and both the situation and people here have been great here despite the growing number of cases in rest of the town. May be it varies people to people, thankfully our society has been very proactive since day one and managed to control the case count under 10 both last year and this year (so far).

Bengaluru (Slightly rural side). Most youngsters and people in their 30s have been extremely careless here. I only see elderly people walking around in masks

Hearing similar stories in Bangalore. Suddenly entire apartment complexes are infected.
But yes it's not a surprise as people tend to let their kids play together, don't wear masks on premises (even the well intentioned ones who always wear masks outdoors seem to think apartment building are indoors as in part of home)

here in Kerala, even when the cases were <100 most people irrespective of the age were very cautious and would wear a mask.
