No, you definitely were not the only one. In events like these, it's really difficult even with backups because my internet went down for an hour and I had an important meeting, I remember my phone hotspot wasn't performing at the usual speed either.

I think an employer should understand when circumstances are of this magnitude.

Get a dongle as a backup. While it's may not function as your primary, you'll at least be able to reply to emails/slack etc. Mobile hotspot is extremely unreliable.

I am stressed out about this constantly. I’m having another ISP setup a connection which I can use as a backup. Right now I use vodafone and airtel 4g hotspots as my last resrot
