I’m planning to buy the new Mac mini with 16 gb ram and 512 gb ssd. Are there any offers that I could avail, say using Hdfc credit card? I’m choosing Mac mini, so I can buy accessories at a much affordable price than sticking to Apple. 

Stores like Imagine, Unicorn etc have HDFC cashback offers running. I bought iPad Pro last month under same discount. But it won’t be more than 5% at best.

You can claim it as business expense by getting a GST bill to save %18 + HDFC cash back that’s a significant saving right there

I'm not sure if you can avail GST on Capital Items.

It is clearly a business expense so I’m sure you can claim GST on it

<@UFKMAM2D9> a friend of mine wanted to buy for his business. 16GB is available only on Apple's website AFAIK and there is no option to buy as business, so no GST invoice.

<@U01EPGC6PNG> did not know of this. Can you please point me to any reference? My CA has been accounting all our IT products under our Pvt Ltd for years, including laptops.

Although I never looked in the GST process, I have friends who claim GST all the time for IT products.

He had mentioned Capital Goods are not eligible for refund under LUT. Maybe it's fine if not under LUT.

You cannot claim refund of GST credit on capital goods under LUT.
However, you can set it off against GST liability, if any. If no GST liability, it would keep appearing in credit of GST!

Some stores like Croma can special order what you want. It might take a little longer but 18% GST credit is a lot. So I think reaching out to a store and asking them to order might be worth it.
