I'm planning to buy a laptop for my mom. Something thin and light, 13" screen with a decent battery. Specs are not too important as it will be mainly used for internet browsing and casual photo editing, and short video editing. Would prefer something that can be easy to service and isn't delicate like a macbook. Budget: not more than 50k. What are some good options in this category?

I am going to share 2 controversial suggestions 😊 I have recently bought 2 (renewed) Thinkpads from this seller on Amazon - Rentopcdotcom — and both are going strong. Anything with an SSD should be fast enough and these Thinkpads are built well. Thinkpad x230 This is the x230 (I have the x250) but you can get some really good deals with renewed machines if you are ok with not buying a new box-packed laptop. Otherwise, take a look at Chromebooks — I bought this one for my 7yo who is using it well. The touchscreen and converting it to a tablet works well and if you are doing basic internet stuff, it is fast and more than capable. HP Chromebook x360 And both options are with 20K to spare 💰

Would you go for an old Macbook Air? Nothing beats its reliability and battery life. You would be giving up resolution though. https://www.amazon.in/Apple-MacBook-Air-13-3-inch-MQD32HN/dp/B073Q5R6VR/ref=sr_1_1_[…]NwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= It will last too, you won't regret the premium

@loud-glass-33663 That looks like a good deal, thanks for sharing. I'm checking out their other models too. @flat-morning-91037 @melodic-jordan-81418 thanks guys, it's a little above budget but will consider. Right now I'm leaning towards Saurabh's recommendation. @helpful-football-37381 don't want a macbook, also way above budget. My mom has a hard time using my own macbook, will let her stay on windows.
