@full-journalist-21701 - I helped search for a friend - this is what I had found good from reviews https://www.amazon.in/Zinq-Technologies-Cooling-Notebook-Laptop/dp/B07TYPTCNV

Cooling pads are mostly useless. It's a passive solution to a problem that needs care and attention. It's like using the AC to cool yourself instead of going to a doctor when you have a fever. If you've never opened the laptop internals, this is 100% due to clogged airflow and/or dried up thermal paste. Nonetheless, deep cleaning the fans, ports, and everything inside with compressed air and a non-static brush; and finally replacing the thermal paste on your CPU will most likely solve your problems.

Thanks @polite-secretary-64403 for the help and I agree @echoing-sugar-95154 thermal paste is the permanent solution, in the interim to survive will try to blow compressed air to unclog.

@full-journalist-21701 what MacBook do you have? This may not apply to you but I have an Intel MBP 16 and recently faced slowdown and hanging issues when I would connect both the external monitor and power supply on the left hand side of the unit. There is an issue with the MBP 16 design which triggers the temp sensors and causes the machine to slow down. More information here. If this does not apply to you, you should open up the back panel and clean the fans and other vents using air. We have a hair dryer at home which has a “cool” setting which I used and was very effective.

@echoing-sugar-95154 Do you replace the thermal paste on your own? Or get it done from somewhere else?

@dazzling-autumn-14365 I do replace my thermal paste on all devices myself. I will push for everyone to learn how to do basic hardware fixes. The right to repair is a cool skill.
@full-journalist-21701 There are Amazon and some websites that sell compressed air in cans for electronics. I use a can from OKS, a German brand you can find on Amazon India.
