Suggest me some budget(< 3k) mics? Do you think 3k is too less of a budget?

A friend got Maono AU-04 for 3k. He mainly uses it for singing as a hobby, sounds great with the right setup and EQ

One thing to note is that Condenser mics don’t cut out the noise

One thing I found out the hard way. Usb mics have very low output on Windows OS. You won't gain the full benifit of what an external mic has to offer.

Interesting! I never had this problem before with Windows 🤔 @millions-ice-83302 I’ve used Elgato Wave:3 and Maono AU-04 with both Windows and Mac

Because Elgato comes with it's own drivers. Not sure about the other.

I think the issue might be soundcard/machine-specific. Elgato’s software is optional and I didn’t have it installed on my windows machine for a long time since I primarily use the mic only with mac
