Is it just me or anyone else too find over the top design of CRED mobile app a terrible UX choice? It almost feels like their developers really wanted to make a mobile game but had to develop an app instead.

They didn't do any a/b testing to check results :p https://twitter.com/kunalb11/status/1421303894731198465?s=21

I can never find what I am looking for on the app.

I'm too cheap to let go that Rs. 15 cashback I get for paying credit card bill. ✌️

They clearly seem to be trying to make it a lifestyle brand design wise (accomodating a curated e-commerce store, fin education material etc) whereas we the users use it just as an app to pay our CC bills.

I guess this is what over-engineering is when designers do it. They wanted to build the most stunning design without usability in mind. 🤦

This is what happens when you put style above usability, accessibility, Inclusiveness. CRED also seems like a product designed without involving (real) users in the process.

+1 their UX is crap. It is always hard to find anything in the app.

Where is the stunning design? When you find out, please let me know.

And why on earth is CRED sending me email newsletters about everything under the sun?

Because apparently newsletter is the new marketing growth hack.
