Exciting news! In their relentless endeavour to ban anything and everything, our government has now banned https://subscene.com/ Somehow a website for downloading subtitles is threatening the establishment 😂

It’s opening for me?
f
Blocked for me on Airtel Asked a couple of friends. Blocked for them too.
g
Terrorists are known to communicate through subtitles.
f
At this point, I am quite sure the alleged VPN ban is coming soon!
d
Blocked on BSNL.

https://www.opensubtitles.org/en/search still works, so may be Subscene is facing legal soup somewhere leading to bans here.
t
we'll always have yify 😜

It’s pretty accurate and you don’t need to open the browser to search for a subtitle.

Yep, subscene has been blocked for me for a long time. I'm also on Airtel. I use subliminal (https://pypi.org/project/subliminal/) to download subs now. It's very simple and fetches from various sources. If nothing works, OpenSubtitles.org is still a good bet.
d
A few days back https://teachyourselfcs.com/ was banned too. They've removed the ban now though.
s
I could open in ACT Fiber
f
@dazzling-author-99268 It is still banned for me.
@thousands-morning-63911 Wait until they ban yify too!

I wonder what’s more bad, accessing Internet in China or in TCS premises. 🤔
