Need recommendations for a home office all-in-one printer. Not looking for anything fancy. My usage will be minimal. Don't want to go for something that will require spending more on cartridges every few months. Thanks!

Not a recommendation but I will be buying one soon myself so went through a few listings and this one (10p for B/W and 20p for Colour) is probably what I'll go with. Do update the thread on what you end up buying.

@early-forest-88077 been using the Canon Pixma Ink Tank printers for a very long time now. I have 2 of these - one at home and one at our studio office. They work great and print 1000s of pages before you need to refill them. Get the Wifi one - it is worth it for the extra 1K or so - you can print directly from your phone / iPad as well.

thank you

@early-forest-88077 +1 for Saurabh's recommendation. I am also using canon ink Tank printer. Totally, worth it. It also has automatic flush system for the times when you don't use it for months. Although, try to use regularly to avoid unnecessary hustle

Do not buy the HP ones. The new smart print shit asks you to login before you can print. Every print you do on your device is sent out for analytics - not sure what data they send, but just not worth the hassle!

@loud-glass-33663 the non wifi version for the one you suggested is almost 2.6k cheaper https://www.amazon.in/Canon-G2020-NV-Colour-Printer/dp/B08VTDBGQK Is wifi the only difference here?
l
@early-forest-88077 Yes. They have a Canon 3000 one as well. Which is slightly cheaper + Wifi. I haven't compared the features with the 3020 -- but should probably serve your needs. This one apparently comes with an extra black ink bottle as well.

cool. thanks

Sorry - apparently 2 additional black bottles. Which would cost around Rs. 550 odd in the market

@loud-glass-33663 Is this printer recommended if my usage is minimal? Say only few copies every month and it could be more occasionally

@mysterious-yak-23452 ink printers, you get 2 types: Cheap - but expensive cartridges. There are printers going for Rs. 3500 but the cartridges run out post 100 / 200 pages and are decently expensive. Expensive - but cheap ink. Like the ink tank printers - they are usually expensive, but the ink will last you a long time. (2-3k pages). However, for the ink tank printers, if you don't use it often -- which is your case, you'd need to clean the printer head or flush them (like Gaurav mentioned above) before you print. Unfortunately, I have not seen any ink tank printers under 10K

Thank you. That helps
