@calm-grass-85557 the 48K-50K-100K$ is very very feasible in India - just get solid international clients or US jobs remotely in your field and stay here. Have goals in ranges from 100-200K$ atleast for anyone who wants to work remotely and push for it slowly year over year, month over month. Here's a new portal of data science that opened up doing and giving these exact jobs! kaam.work

For folks interested in ops or devops, I am one of the maintainers of the popular monitoring system Prometheus (https://prometheus.io) that is taking off in the Kubernetes land and outside and am doing workshop on it at Rootconf Pune later this month: https://hasgeek.com/rootconf/2019-prometheus-training-pune/ Will cover everything you need to start monitoring and alerting on your services with Prometheus.

Hey guys, Planning to use NoSql DB in my next project - for the first time. Am going through certain tuts and other things on how to create schema etc. All schema creation is cool and understandable but I am not sure if I would architect it in the right way. I have few inhibitions though, would be great is someone could shed light on that 1. I am trying Mongo as its easy, OS and lightweight. Any other recommendations? Unfortunately, I am planning to use .NET as the BE so πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ 2. Had a very small app using Mongo before and was hacked - pretty much because I had insanely stupid security. Is there a proper security procedure that can be implemented in Mongo? 3. Any way I can validate if my schema modelling is good? Like verify? I know peer-review could help but just wanted to know. 4. I HATE the way the querying is done here with filter and stuff. I get drained when I try to put some basic conditions which is very very simple in SQL. Theres a tool NoSQL Booster that allows to run SQL queries on NoSQL dbs. But is there a genuinely better way to wrap my head around it? I feel exhausted thinking about it 😞

Hey guy, any kindle user in house? Need a recommendation to whether buy it or not, for consuming programming content only. Or in general how good is your experience with having kindle when it comes to reading programming books?

Here's my stack that lets me work on even spotty connections from mobile. Termux on android as terminal multiplexer, mosh to establish fully mobile and roaming capable connections to servers, tmux to maintain multiple persistent sessions with windows and splits on the server, and vim for my editor. Replace termux with termite on my laptop, most of my work happens on a remote machine in a terminal, so it works great for me. I use a zaap keyboard shown in the pic above.

Mostly I work from my laptop, but it's nice to just sit down anywhere and fix or diagnose issues quickly without having to wait until I go home or get up and open my laptop.
