Hey Tribe, I wanted to get some feedback on my thought to build guilds (groups of volunteers) to run the community. There are three stages for any community(not my framework) 1️⃣ sparking the flame 2️⃣ stoking the fire 3️⃣ Passing the torch And I feel that it's time for stage 3 to happen by creating more leaders. These leaders can take ownership of the following guilds and create more impact for everyone in the tribe.

Community Guild - Keep the vibe of the community right. Refine onboarding, create a wiki

Marketing + Biz Dev - Spread the word by sharing knowledge. Get sponsors.

Development Guild - Build internal tools that can help support the community. Improve the website.

Design - Create logo, brand. Create stickers, merchandise.

Writing - Write guides, publish interviews.

Build - Build physical spaces in remote parts of India. Share knowledge of building housing structures.

Governance - Manage Treasury. Identify Values, Mission. Anything that has an overarching effect on the community.

Also, to add some more context. Here's my mission (which needs to be reviewed by the community)

Inspirational version: Help Indian engineering and product professionals passionate about building their careers as remote talent to share proven strategies, best practices and the paths that each of us are navigating in building our careers, so that we can each pursue a less travelled path without anxiety, reach our financial goals and live our lives to the fullest.

Concrete (and measurable): 1000 RI members who feel green while working remotely. If they don't feel green, then figure out what their problems are and try to help them. Conduct monthly polls to figure out (red, orange, green). Use content and other ways to achieve this mission.

PS: ⚠️ These are very early thoughts on how to make the community sustainable in the long run

Any recommendations for a good soundbar? The sound on my LG CX doesn't match upto the visual performance and takes away the pleasure from enjoying a movie / game. Using Centered.app https://centered.app/. It is a productivity app that is a combination of Freedom + (async)FocusMate + Todoist + BrainFM. You can use it to log tasks and then work with your camera on for accountability. It blocks distractions while you are working, and also plays some background music to get you in the zone. It also uses some basic intelligence to nudge you when you appear to be distracted or idle. This is looking like an interesting concept and I am excited to try more.

Hi folks, anyone here who was worked on mobile apps with in app purchases? From what I've read, Play Store doesn't allow apps which use external payment gateways like PayTM, Razorpay for in app purchases but a lot of apps exist which use third party gateways and not the Play Store's IAP mechanism. Tribe, here is a question. Over a longer period of time, what makes more sense. Having a remote life style and being in Europe. Or getting a work visa and working in Europe. How I see this is that countries like Portugal are giving long term visa to stay and work remotely. This gives the flexibility to move to anywhere else and also work for companies/startup who are want you to be in Europe. Whereas working with European Visa, is all about maybe settling down in that country for min 3-4 years, working with average salary of that country (even higher) and be in higher standard of living nations - Germany, Netherlands or UK

Hi Everyone, I've been thinking to get a chair for around 15ish. I saw some good and bad reviews of every chair available out in the market. I'm pretty confused which to go for? Like, Featherlite Liberate/Astro/Versa/Opus, Greensoul 10k ones, etc. I also saw this that some featherlite one's don't have lumbar support or they say dynamic lumbar support.
