So I upgrade my test environment to 2025.9 this morning before checking the web page and finding the Known Defect
How long until 2025.10 comes out
Or is there a workaround?
j
The issue in 2025.9 should only hit you if you have plans and tasks with malformed metadata. Otherwise, you shouldn't see an issue. That said, 2025.10 is supposed to be pushed out at some point today. The release team is in the process of starting to push things out the door, so it will be soon.
m
Can you point us to an example of what malformed metadata to look for? We have a large number of tasks and plans that have been in good shape for a long time.
j
If you have issues with metadata, you would see log entries with errors in the
bolt-server
log. Prior to 2025.9, you would see those errors in the log and the plans/tasks would simply get ignored and not run. So if you have any plans/tasks that weren't running because of these errors, those are the ones that would trigger the issue in 2025.9 on the listing page.
m
bolt-server logs aren't showing any errors that I can see. A refresh of the tasks page does trigger the 500 in the console logs, but nothing in the bolt logs error-wise.
j
So @Mike Loseke, in your scenario, even with fully clean tasks you are still encountering the error on the listing page? I'm hoping the fix in .10 will also address this, but just in case there's something else specific to your setup, have you logged something with support about it?
m
We're just now running this one down, so no case opened yet. Are you sick of me opening cases this month yet? 🙂
j
I'm in the lucky scenario of not being on the support team, so OPEN AWAY!!! 😄 But seriously, I don't think anybody on the team gets annoyed by many cases being opened. It is always really helpful to know what's going on! Since you're just running this down now, maybe we can get the .10 build out today and you can check to see if it resolves the issue you have.
m
I'll get a case opened as I'd like to identify and fix any bad metadata if we have it, rather than just mask it with an update. We'll still upgrade but I don't want this to crop up again.
j
Good idea, as it is odd that you are not seeing errors in the bolt server log. Whatever version you are running, even with the new .10, those tasks/plans should be getting ignored and logging errors.

Thanks Jason!
