I think it does use the system trust store at least on Ubuntu. I’ll have to check when I’m back at the office. 

unfortunately it doesn't on Windows :disappointed: I have since found this thread

Issue 289 was closed due to lack of communication however looking at the code in the comments, it was never an issue because a `http://` connection was talked about instead of a `https://`
