Hi guys !
I’m new with GraphCool and i search some resources about how to manage translation/multilanguage inside the Schema logic (and after surely use i18next for the front).
Any help or tutorial ?

What kind of data do you have in mind? Some product info or something different?

Yes like a product info, with a title, desc and other details which can be translate in English/French for example.
To make simpler, it’s like trying to create a WordPress blog with WPML/Polylang to add multilingual to post, page an custom types.

I already talk with an other GraphQL dev who advised me to simply add a locale field and find a solution to link the same entity in the different languages (maybe like a master/slave relation)

You can have:

And then query product with translation where you can define language for example

and I suppose an ID for the product + each translation ?

I looking but i don’t see how to create a type with depth.
You mean create a type Product and Translation and link it ? (and so have a query like you show me?)

me tooo i would just skip it and do query like:

ok thanks, and so in this case you will create a type “Product” and “ProductMetada” (or “ProductTranslation”) and do it for all main types (Page, Category, etc.) ?

You can create type translation and have relation to every other type what you want to translate

As id's are globally unique, in theory that means that you don't even have to specify the relationship to every other type from that translation table.

Then you need to do this however:

  product(where:{id:"ID"}) {
    translations(where: { recordId: ID, language_is: "de"}){
      title
      description
    }
    }
}
```
So it's a trade-off between easy querying and easy schema setup.

But you need to supply ID of translation right?

No, ID of the record you want to translate. Sorry, I didn't pick my field names right. Updated the answer...

is there a way to export data from the framework from the UI?

Is anyone having problems with the `graphql-cli`? I suspect it’s because of something I did earlier but if anyone else is having problems, then I’ll have some more context. :slightly_smiling_face:

if I update a function, why might `graphcool-framework deploy` not be deploying it?

yea cool my functions are definitely not updating

is there some state/cache for the graphcool-framework CLI tool that I can clear?

or a DEBUG=* type command I can run to get more info?

Can't press the "play" button, query won't submit, dev console reads:
```invariant.js:19 Uncaught Error: Can only create NonNull of a Nullable GraphQLType but got: ID.

this is crashing my resolvers on the server side, I'm getting that pesky `"error": "Function returned invalid status code: 0. Raw body: empty.last"` error, even though a) I have no console.logs b) everything is wrapped in a try catch where I log e.message

can't debug the server portion, because the entire script returns that error when I try and use any sort of debug logging (with JSON.stringify, to avoid that bug). and then I can't test queries on the playground because the queries have broken all of a sudden

makes me think an update's gone out on graphcool end but I don't know

another note: i'm actually getting spotty consistency on function execution. does the `"error": "Function returned invalid status code: 0. Raw body: empty.last"` error occur if the function times out?

did you just do a very quick upgrade? i see now i have the version (1.0.0-beta4.0.6), it did not work on (1.0.0-beta4.0.5)

I'm trying to get running with v1beta. I have mysqld running on 3306 as it likes to do, but now I'm trying to set up the graphcool docker container for local deployment and it complains that it wants but can't use 3306. This did not happen before, has something changed? anyways what to do?

Anyone else getting 503's or 504's ? Service temporarily unavailable. Have been seeing degraded performance whole day, but for the last 1 hour I doesn't work at all

By the way, I've been seeing degraded performance for a while now. Maybe for more than a month. I'm on EU west cluster
