What the hell is going on. The docs are way too confusing on what version of graphcool to use now. I really have no idea what services are offered by graphcool anymore.

I recommend you to just stick with old version if it’s really urgent, because everything still works perfectly. So my already installed version of graphcool@0.10.0 is different than graphcool@beta?

`graphcool/1.0.0-beta2.1.1` is the newest

oh yeah, that's one thing the video doesn't get right

you should `npm i -g graphql`, not `@beta`

but 1.0 is still in beta and not officially released yet, correct? So for production use, we should still be using the 0.10.x version?

if you're starting a new project now you could probably use 1.0

but if you have an existing project leave it for now

thanks! we have a project going live on the 8th, and I just recently migrated from a legacy project to the 0.10.x release. Sounds like I'm OK to stay put here for release.

I get the following error when I try to graphcool deploy using the basic graphql starter project. `graphcool.yml should have required property 'stage'. missingProperty: stage` graphcool@1.0.0-beta2.1.1, graphql-cli@2.2.4, My graphcool.yml looks the same as the example here: <https://github.com/graphql-boilerplates/node-graphql-server/blob/master/basic/graphcool.yml>

are you deploying locally? if so can you try it in the shared cluster?

Hey <@U6P4JE97C> I’m actually getting the same error (with a fresh install). I was able to work around it by adding the following line to the graphcool.yml file `stage: dev`

….after I added that line I was able to run: 
`graphcool deploy` 
- OR -
`graphcool deploy -s anotherdevstagename` _(to change the target stage)_

Thanks JR. I figured it would be something like that, but just wondering why the examples don't include it.

So… this appears to be a double edge sword because `graphcool deploy` complains if `stage: dev` isn’t included in the file. However, `yarn start` won’t launch unless you then remove that line from the file hahahaha. Here’s the error I get:

<@U6P4JE97C> are you using linux as a docker host, out of interest?

(no docker on the linux computer here - I ask because on mac we're having an issue that appears to be related to docker)
