No that is moment but we'll soon allow you to use your own database in the background. Would that help?

Yes I think that would be great. Ideally (at least from my perspective), I would run the backend myself (maybe from a docker container). Then I'd be able to access the dashboard through my browser, connect it to my own database and configure my web client to use it.

What's the upside you're aiming for when hosting the backend (excluding the database) yourself?

Hmm, I guess several things. First is privacy -> I wouldn't have to sign up, I would be sure that all data + schemas stay on my side. Secondly, I would be sure that I won't build on it / be dependant and then you're introducing a nice pricing model at some point. And third, I might even be able to use it in private / commercial projects or projects for clients.

And I'm not saying you shouldn't earn money, it actually looks like you deserve to profit, building a cool project like this
