Basically, I need to get [movies playing in a geogrphical location] -&gt; [venues playing the movie in the same geographical location] -&gt; [events for the movie in the venue]

Those of you using Graphcool for React Native apps, which push service do you recommend?

Guys do we need to use Redux with graphcool?!

Hi Joao! Redux is a _frontend_ technology that helps maintaining state in a React (or any other kind of JS) application. Since Graphcool is a _backend_ technology that is _frontend_ agnostic, you can basically use it with any _frontend_ technology of your choice. So, the short answer to your question is *No*. However, one easy way to get started with Graphcool in the frontend is using the Apollo client (<http://dev.apollodata.com/>) that is actually based on Redux.

No problem :slightly_smiling_face: If you’re using Apollo, this means that you are already using Redux as well since Apollo is using it under the hood to manage their data. It kind of depends on your case now and if you need more complex state managament capabilities, you can always integrate the with the Apollo Redux store: <http://dev.apollodata.com/react/redux.html>

Ok. The easiest way to set this up is with a Mutation Callback. If you need to support both ios and android it might be easiest to use a provider like <https://www.pubnub.com/>. Alternatively managing ios and android push messages yourself shouldn’t be too much work

also, a common problem is forgetting to specify a required argument in the create mutation. What fields does your model `City` have?

yes that was the problem missing { at the start, still not sure why just fail silently without the error the server does return, I assume it is Lokka bug

hmm I am not really sure how `await` and `try/catch` interact here

but looks like Lokka is swallowing GraphQL errors, yep
