Do you mean locally? check out the Jupyter API reference, it seems this is false by default, you can specify a config.json to load on start and set it to true: https://jupyter-server.readthedocs.io/en/latest/other/full-config.html

Yeah I looked at those docs for a while but it was just under
~/.jupyter
and I wanted something under
project/.jupyter
but I also thought the need to have
--config $PWD/.jupyter/jupyter_lab_config.py
on the launch command was a foot gun

I found it okish with code stuff, it doesn’t debug well or give the optimal solution usually. Sounds like it’s a good Stackoverflow substitute though 😄
