I don't have information about the current status of the Permit.io service, so I can't confirm whether there is an ongoing incident. To help our engineers investigate the 500s, please share: 1. Which Workspace / Project / Environment you are using 2. What calls you are performing (as SDK code or cURL) 3. Which PDP version you are running 4. Relevant logs from your PDP It would also help to know which endpoint is returning the 500s: the Permit REST API, or your PDP (Cloud PDP, Edge PDP, or Nexus PDP). One documented case can produce a 500 on the OPAL server.

GET /scopes/{scope_id}/policy

returns HTTP 500 with

{"error": "Uncaught server exception"}

when the requested scope is unknown or not yet synced. The OPAL client hits this route when it connects, so you may see 500s until the scope syncs. (1) If your 500s come from a different endpoint, the details above will let us narrow it down.
