Hello, basic question from me, please: I'm collecting SNMP metrics using telegraf, and I telegraf forwards them to OpenObserve using prometheus remote write. I see the telegraf, which is configured according to the documentation, keeps sending the metrics into openobserve, and in parallel, it forwards them to another influxdb, where I see their format is valid. The format is like this: interfaces,host=logserver01,ifName=et-0/1/0.0,site=lab,source=10.10.10.2 ifConnectorPresent=2i,ifCounterDiscontinuityTime=0u,ifHCInBroadcastPkts=0u,ifHCInMulticastPkts=0u,ifHCInOctets=375869629u,ifHCInUcastPkts=387146u,ifHCOutBroadcastPkts=0u,ifHCOutMulticastPkts=0u,ifHCOutOctets=1793720977u,ifHCOutUcastPkts=6607875u,ifHighSpeed=25000u,ifInBroadcastPkts=0u,ifInMulticastPkts=0u,ifLinkUpDownTrapEnable=1i,ifOutBroadcastPkts=0u,ifOutMulticastPkts=0u,ifPromiscuousMode=2i 1788443716000000000 However, when I try to visualize them, I receive no data meassage, there the amount of total_fields remain somehow zero. Do you have any working E2E example I might learn from how to do this right, please?

Can you share your Telegraf SNMP and Prometheus Remote Write configuration, along with a screenshot of the Metrics Explorer?

meanwhile , Try widening the tagpass match, Junos

ifName

usually comes back with a unit suffix like

et-0/1/0.0

, which won't match

et-0/1/0

exactly:

ifName = ["et-0/1/0*", "et-0/1/1*", "ge-0/0/0*"]

Can you comment out the

tagpass

block (or use the wildcard) and re-run to confirm the

ifName

values actually have that suffix?

it receives both, et-0/1/0 and et-0/1/0.0 as well on input, let me debug output as well

Correct, it's the explorer which reports no data

oky then the setup is working fine nothing needs to be changes on your end. I will flag this issue internally and get this fixed.
