Hello @Simran(OpenObserve),
We have to implementing uptime monitoring for our Application audit requirements and would like to understand OpenObserve capabilities for this use case.
Current setup:
• OpenObserve v0.90.2 (Open Source, self-hosted on AWS EC2)
• OTEL traces, metrics, and logs from Node.js backends
• RUM integration for React/Next.js frontends
We would like clarification on the following:
1. Does OpenObserve natively support synthetic monitoring or external HTTP URL health checks without any third-party tool?
2. If yes, how can we configure URL uptime checks (frontend/backend URLs) inside OpenObserve?
3. If no, what is the recommended approach/tool to use alongside OpenObserve for uptime monitoring? We are currently evaluating Uptime Kuma.
4. Can OpenObserve ingest uptime metrics/webhook data from Uptime Kuma and visualize it within OpenObserve dashboards?
5. Is there any native SLA/Uptime dashboard template available in OpenObserve?
Our primary requirements are:
• URL health checks every 60 seconds
• Downtime alerting
• Monthly uptime percentage tracking (99.9% SLA)
• Uptime history retention for audit purposes
• Service status dashboard
Please advise on the recommended architecture and best approach for this setup.
