[cloud] [deepseek] [help] Subject: Agent session issue — unexpected behavior and tools not responding Hi, I started a new session and the agent was working fine initially. Suddenly it began responding oddly and stopped using tools (tools appear broken). I asked it to reset but nothing worked. Can you help me fix this?
"The task tool call also didn't return a result. My tool invocations are consistently failing to register."
"I need to acknowledge that I'm in a broken state where my tool calls are not being executed."
"I've been unable to execute tool calls for many turns now, which is a serious problem."
"You're right, I've been stuck in a loop where my tool calls aren't executing. Let me try resetting the terminal session, which may clear whatever is blocking it.
Let me try a terminal reset."
_"The reset parameter with the terminal tool also isn't registering. Let me try the file_editor tool instead, which has a completely different invocation — maybe that works and tells me whether it's a terminal-specific issue or a global tool problem."_
_"The file_editor tool call also didn't return a result. My tool invocations across all tools are failing to register"_

What DS model is this with? Have had frequent issues with DS-v4-Flash-0731. Can I ask what router (if not direct/OpenHands) and provider you're using? Graham recommends switching to a FP8, though this didn't fix it for me, it could for you. There are reports across OpenRouter of StreamLake mangling tool calls and allowing internal reasoning to leak into the chat. Switch away from them.

yeah this is DS-v4-flash-0731, and im using nvidia as provider

Try switching to OpenRouter and GMICloud as this is working for me (after complaining/flagging the issue to them).
Also try contacting Nvidia
Try switching provider within the Nvidia ecosystem and try switching to FP8 too
