I never used ACP for automations but for built-in code review agent this is not working. This is because we take an LLM profile in the automation config and not an Agent profile. So we can not use an ACP profile as consequence. You can probably ask the agent to make the automation work with ACP. The automations-service was created before Agent profile historically.

OK thanks for the clarification! This seems like a pretty severe bug, probably causing a lot of confusion for anyone who set up w/ Claude Code (I expect many of our users)

Confirmed: the two relevant automation issues are now tracked in Linear as OHE-2226 (ACP-compatible automation presets) and OSS-8613 (select an Agent Profile per automation). I’m adding both to the next cycle.

#16905 seems worth prioritizing too. You can't ask an ACP agent to build automations without it
