Hey @ancient-activity-47640 Not your setup, it's an upstream bug in
agent-canvas
on Windows (present in 1.5.1 and current HEAD). Your node/npm/uv/uvx are all fine. It seems that on Windows the launcher spawns uvx with shell: true, which sends the command through cmd.exe with args unescaped (that's the DEP0190 warning). One of the args is the version pin agent-client-protocol<0.11 — and cmd.exe reads the < as a redirect stdin from a file named 0.11. That file doesn't exist, so cmd aborts with The system cannot find the file specified. and exit code 1, before uvx ever runs. That's why it dies instantly even though ✓ uvx found. As workaround you can use Docker sandbox (recommended, officially documented in README.windows.md) — bypasses the broken launcher. I opened an issue for this problem: github.com/OpenHands/agent-canvas/issues/1858 So if you want to use agent-canvas without docker, you will have to wait until the next release.
FYI: I opened a PR for that.

Earlier versions should work as well!

Hi @ancient-activity-47640, going full circle, I think the next release is out now so windows should work. Please tell us if you continue to have issues!
