are you guys planning to make a desktop-app?, i would like to contribute in making an desktop-app as i am huge fan of making this, let me know how can i contribute to this.
@limited-student-10747 @wooden-umbrella-84098 @chilly-france-44439 can you guys assign some of the maintainers devs to whom i can join and start working on creating this desktop app? or like this anything we can do? i could have been sounding unrealistic as i dont have much exp working with opensource projects but i would really love having an desktop app of OH, so as a dev i would like to help

We've actually built a couple prototypes here. The hard thing is figuring out how sandboxing should work. But we could launch something without sandboxes

Definitely.., I think codex app uses OS specific sandboxing (on mac, an old deprecated API that actually works)

yea codex doing good we can learn from it, i have an idea for solving the sandboxing issue, cant we have an small local or even small hosted llm to check the ai's response especially the terminal commands ai needs to execute, and the llm thinks and decide that is this potentially harmful or it can be approved so like this or similar to this could be effective.

Hey @millions-afternoon-47582 I think this could be very useful so I assigned you to this issue, which also includes links to some previous prototypes created by Paul and Chuck: https://github.com/OpenHands/agent-canvas/issues/348 @brash-engine-38895 and @bored-cartoon-27300 if you all are interested in trying it out we do have the prototypes above but I doubt they are very easy to use yet. Hopefully hiep can make some progress on it and we can have something a little more smooth soon

Once I’ve finished those, I’ll review this GitHub issue along with any associated pull requests to determine the best approach for addressing it. I’ll keep you updated once I’ve completed the review. Hello @brash-engine-38895, For now, you can pull the latest code from the 
main
branch and run 
npm run desktop
to launch Agent Canvas as a desktop app. We're currently testing the desktop builds. If everything goes well, the macOS and Windows builds will be included in an upcoming release. Thank you very much! thankyou
