Does the local version of OpenHands consider integrating Pi Agent via ACP?
a
I got pi working:
Copy code
{
  "name": "Pi",
  "agent_kind": "acp",
  "acp_server": "custom",
  "acp_command": "pi-acp",
  "acp_model": "anthropic/claude-sonnet-4-6",
  "acp_prompt_timeout": 1800
}
just use custom acp, setup a secret like
ANTHROPIC_API_KEY
in agent canvas that pi can read

Which specific file should I go to for configuration? @average-processor-75195

You can use the openhands UI and add it as a custom ACP. Just get Pi running locally first.
You need to have pi and the ACp adapter first: 1. Install Pi and the ACP adapter:
Copy code
npm install -g @earendil-works/pi-coding-agent pi-acp
2. Verify Pi works directly:
Copy code
pi --version
ANTHROPIC_API_KEY=... pi --provider anthropic --model sonnet --no-tools -p "Reply exactly PI_OK"
3. In Agent Canvas, add
ANTHROPIC_API_KEY
as a secret. (Pi recognizes certain words for inference, this is one) 4. Create a new ACP agent/LLM profile:
Copy code
{
  "name": "Pi",
  "agent_kind": "acp",
  "acp_server": "custom",
  "acp_command": "pi-acp",
  "acp_model": "anthropic/claude-sonnet-4-6",
  "acp_prompt_timeout": 1800
}
5. Test it in a workspace path the Agent Server subprocess can actually access. In our test, this worked:
Copy code
/private/tmp/pi-acp-canvas-smoke

thanks you very much!!!! ☺️I'll go test this out now. @average-processor-75195
However, it seems my version of OpenHands doesn't support naming custom ACP models. This might be due to version differences. I wonder if this will cause any issues... @average-processor-75195

Agent canvas is fast moving, I upgrade at least once a week to stay with the latest
s
Will previous conversations disappear after the upgrade? I don't think so.
a
no they should be unaffected (you can always backup the .openhands folder if you are concerned)

ok
Are you running OpenHands on Windows or Linux? I just updated to the latest version, but it fail s to launch on Windows. @average-processor-75195
