Hey everyone! I've been digging into the repos lately, but tbh I am really confused right now... I searched the Discord and saw some older messages saying the raw .tilt viewer is pretty rudimentary and needs work. (me in the future I forgot to the mention it's all about three.js)
I just have a few questions about how everything actually fits together because I feel like I'm missing something:
1. What is the actual state of the .tilt viewer? When I tested it locally it acts really weird. Does it actually work for most things or is it basically broken for the web?
2. Are the .gltf exports considered 100% perfect / 1-to-1 with the app, or are there known visual flaws there too?
3. How is .IMM handled for the web? Was it reverse-engineered or is it an official port (because I thought Quill and the .IMM format were closed source)? Are there any major bugs with it right now?
4. Why is the code on GitHub so out of sync with the live icosa.gallery site? Like, they don't match AT ALL. For example, I downloaded the smoke brush files from the repo and it doesn't animate, but on the live site it does! The animation logic was just missing from my downloaded files. Honestly, all the repos feel like a huge mess together. I found so many .IMM viewer repos that didn't work and couldn't find the real code. I eventually found the working code via a GitHub Pages site, which I later realized was actually hiding inside the gallery repo. Why is it structured like that?
5. Also, packages fetched via npm don't seem to match the actual GitHub source either. Am I just looking at the wrong branches, or are the public repos just completely outdated compared to what you guys run on the live site?
Would love some context because I'm going crazy trying to figure this out!
