Right before I recorded this when I tried to go left or right a couple of times when selecting and it won’t budge almost as if it was stuck. Might be a bug or the performance is not that stable. The controller thumb stick has a capacitive touch sensor in the top, your thumb also needs to be touching that for it to rotate, its designed to prevent accidental inputs. It’s possible to not touch this if you use the very edge of the thumbstick to swipe the pages
