Are there plans for a 5.6 release? I have modified magmap to take input directly from #CE9MS66BS with a param that just points to the output directory of mag. It currently depends on dereplication so I can't ship that until mag is released. I think I will post a "post-binning entry" PR following the github.com/nf-core/mag/issues/623 discussion today.

Next one is going to be v6.0. We already have breaking changes so a major release is required. Regarding how far we are from v6, I have some things in my plate I want to include: • GPU support for COMEBin and SemiBin • Workflow outputs • Implement hostile or drop decontamination And considering that this will be a major one, we can break more things, for example: • Replace QUAST for something lighter • Disabling some bins by default So we're not that far really. But I'm been quite busy lately, that's why the progress has been slow. So... a month more I guess?

Strongly suggest deacon not hostile, all benchmarks indicate it is strictly better

Yeah, that option was on my radar too. I said hostile before I started with that because is basically a drop-in replacement of what we have now (bowtie / minimap). But we can consider deacon if we decide to keep decontamination inside mag
