Hi my PR (finally) passed all the CI checks. Should I merge the main branch to mine and re-push this unnecessary?

If you have approval and can merge, I'd say go for it

Unless someone makes changes that conflict with yours, usually merging main isn't necessary. I would say only do that if it tells you there are conflicts to resolve
