Hi all, I found a manifest.version field in the nextflow.config of a pipeline I am working on. Since the field is not used by my release process, I removed it to avoid confusion. After the field's removal, however, when I issue a

nf-core modules update

, I obtain the error

ERROR    'manifest.version'

. If I reintroduce the field and set it to

''

, then I can update nf-core modules again. General question: why is

manifest.version

mandatory?

In my opinion, just for reproducibility purpose your pipeline should have a version
