depictio Depictio — Interactive Dashboards for nf-core Pipeline Results depictio Hi everyone! šŸ‘‹ If you're tired of switching between multiqc MultiQC reports, scattered CSVs, and static plots after a pipeline run, Depictio might be for you. It's an open-source platform that turns pipeline outputs into interactive, shareable dashboards, no frontend coding needed. šŸš€ šŸ‘‰ Live demo (including nf-core/ampliseq dashboard): https://demo.depictio.embl.org/ šŸ‘‰ šŸ“š Docs: https://depictio.github.io/depictio-docs/ G GitHub: https://github.com/depictio/depictio Two ways to use it: • šŸŽØ Create multi-tab dashboards — Build your own from scratch using the drag-and-drop editor or YAML configuration. Pick your components (MultiQC integration, Plotly figures, metric cards, geomaps, images, interactive cross-filtering), arrange them how you like, and save as a reusable template. • šŸš€ Use existing templates — Once community templates become available, just point Depictio at your pipeline results and pick a community template. Your data populates the dashboard automatically, no configuration needed. In the future, this could happen at the end of a pipeline run via an nf-core plugin. ---------- šŸ“† Hackathon project — March 2026 šŸ› ļø I submitted Depictio as a project for the upcoming nf-core hackathon and would love collaborators! The idea is to build reusable dashboard templates for nf-core pipelines together. šŸ”— Project page: https://nf-co.re/hackathon-projects/hackathon-march-2026/depictio-dashboards The plan is simple: define YAML schemas to reference workflows outputs (and links between them), design dashboards together (UI or YAML), and share templates so anyone can spin up a dashboard from their results using the created template. I'm happy to pair up with anyone who wants to build a dashboard for their pipeline! šŸ¤ Currently working on nf-core/ampliseq with @Daniel Straub, and next up is nf-core/viralrecon with @Sarai. šŸŽ‰ ---------- šŸ” Lightweight peer-review from domain experts To ensure template quality, we'd like to introduce a lightweight peer-review step where domain experts assess whether the structure, selected metrics, and interpretation logic make sense from their perspective, without taking on any Depictio maintenance responsibility. Think of it as a sanity check from someone who knows the biology and the domain, not a long-term commitment. šŸ“‹ ---------- šŸ”Œ nf-core plugin integration The longer-term goal is to provide standardised, reusable templates that can be populated automatically via a nf-core plugin triggered at the end of a pipeline run, pushing workflow outputs into Depictio. ---------- šŸ™‹ Looking for: - People keen to create dashboard examples for their favorite nf-core pipeline - Domain experts willing to do lightweight reviews of dashboard templates - Real-world use cases and feedback - Contributors at any level, project is fully open-source Come find me at the hackathon or just drop a message here! šŸ’¬
