🕵️‍♀️ Shout out to @Maxime Garcia and @Franziska Bonath for making #C06PHJM0Y3D 1.0.0 happen! seqinspector logo improved green This pipeline started years ago with bold ideas and a clear need — but also without much structure or clear prioritization of development goals. During hackathons, many generous contributors (Thank you all as well!) added modules and code, and we took pride in being open to new people and ideas, following a true grassroots approach. From the beginning, the vision for Seqinspector was not a pipeline of subsequent, interdependent steps, but more of an buffet of quality control tools that you choose from to your liking 🍱. Yet, this flexibility also meant that it became increasingly difficult to define what “ready for a first release” actually entailed. Furthermore, being driven by a group of unassuming developers valuing autonomy, it was at times difficult to find somebody who would step up to the responsibility of becoming a leader and setting the course forward. 🫵🔭 If it weren’t for Fran and Maxime, Seqinspector might still be a student at the police academy 🚓. Wrapping up and connecting the pieces to a coherent whole is, hands down, the most difficult part of a project. Therefore, I argue that #C05AHQPA9A7 because you invested a lot of grit, hard work and dedication to exactly this goal - including organizing a Hackathon in Sigtuna, Sweden and honing the pipeline until it could call itself a worthy nf-core pipeline nf core deal with it. Thank you both!
