Customers complain that they hear human consultants like they would be in a well, however, on the recordings it's ok. Can it be krisp or codecs or something else? Have you ever encountered sth like that? Recordings are fine so it's probably not krisp (prerecording I guess).

You have a session ID where this happened? Did you have agent insights enabled? I would be interested in seeing that data if you have it.
But when I have seen something like this in the past it was due to pore connection on the client network and lot of frames were getting dropped.

It wasn't Agent - Human. It was React SDK in a next.js app with krisp turned on and SIP leg to a human from another side. Recording is all good. Gimme a sec to send you session ID

But I would have expected the participants audio sounded "canned" or in a well.

Is this reproducible or you've seen it once so far?

I think it's pretty consistent from what that customer mentioned, so I feel like it might be config
I just don't quite know what
We had issues with DTX before
But we turned it off since then

My mind is going in a few directions on this. I see some packet reordering and loss on the WebRTC leg but not sure it is enough to be what I would call "audio sounds like it is in a can" or well as your customer says. I sort of have a fairly specific definition of that that means in my mind and has to due with dynamic range response. I am not sure that is what your customer actually means. I wonder how pronounced it is. Just due to the nature of telephony, transcoding from G711 to Opus there can be some artifacts in that transcode that may not be apparent in a recording. It would be interesting to me to get a recoding of what your customer hears so we can better classify what maybe the issue.

Will get back with more info today/monday
