Hi! I'm trying to set up inbound calling with LiveKit Phone Numbers (purchased directly through LiveKit Cloud), but all calls fail with this error: callStatus: "SCS_ERROR"error: "call was not authorized by trunk configuration" The trunkId in the error is the phone number's internal ID (PN_PPN_xxx). What I've tried: Created a dispatch rule with roomConfig.agents pointing to my agent Linked the phone number to the dispatch rule via the Dashboard Tried with and without creating custom inbound trunks My agent is registered and works fine when I manually create rooms My understanding from the docs:
"If you're using LiveKit Phone Numbers, you do not need to create an inbound trunk."
But calls still fail with trunk authorization errors. Questions: Is there additional configuration needed for LiveKit Phone Numbers to accept inbound calls? Does the phone number need time to activate after purchase? Is there something specific I need to set in the Dashboard for the phone number? Any help appreciated! 🙏

Your understanding is right - I just tried setting up a phone number in a new account myself but I didn't see that error - I was able to call through to my agent. Was this working previously? The process on the docs page, https://docs.livekit.io/telephony/start/phone-numbers/#setup, is correct, which is what you are following. I used the dashboard to configure my phone number. Can you share your project ID? (starts with

) and I'll take a look.

thank you
And for clarity, no, it was not working earlier. I'm a brand new user switching from Twilio.
Although I did spend hours going through your entire documentation, I probably tried seven different ways to try to make this work. And I had absolutely no problems with Twilio or any other providers. I would just prefer to use you guys.

Your dispatch rule is configured to dispatch

but I don't see any agents in your account at https://cloud.livekit.io/projects/p_3ohmxd4iq33/agents , is that right?
