12/14/2025, 12:37 PMroomConfig.egress is present — here’s how to do that with curl.
1) List dispatch rules (uses the ListSIPDispatchRule RPC)
curl -X POST "https://<your-livekit-host>/twirp/livekit.SIP/ListSIPDispatchRule" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer <your-access-token>" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{}'
• Replace <your-livekit-host> (e.g., your-project.livekit.cloud) and <your-access-token> (JWT with SIPAdmin privileges).
2) Check the response JSON for room_config.egress
• The response contains an items array of dispatch rules. Inspect each item's room_config object:
◦ If room_config.egress exists, auto-egress is configured for that rule.
◦ Example fragment you should see:
"room_config": {
"egress": {
"room": {
"segments": {
"s3": { "bucket": "my-bucket" },
"filename_prefix": "recordings/"
}
}
}
}
Notes:
• There’s no separate GetSIPDispatchRule call — listing and filtering the returned items (by name or sip_dispatch_rule_id) is the way to locate a specific rule.
• Ensure your JWT includes the sip.admin: true grant so the API returns the rules.
Would you like a jq snippet to filter the response for rules that contain room_config.egress?
