@big-market-42155 are you referring to publishing or receiving? I would suggest starting with taking a look at the docs here. Let us know if you have specific questions or anything isn't covered by the docs
b
I use this reference doc, receiving track still low resolution, If this related with sim or svc ?
❓ 2
I mean I change the resolution for publish track, receiving side video resolution still low
d
could you share more details there? tell me a bit more about your app. how are you publishing the track on the publisher side (code snippets would help), and on the receiving side, what options are you using for the room?
b
hello, david, maybe the issue happened in the 169 FHD preset on Android Phone published and received on Android TV with 16:9 playback, I suggest my people change Phone 169 FHD preset to 720 1280 20fps, resolution improved also have some video playback issue with height and width, we will check it next week again
d
sounds good. keep us posted
b
the issue is mobile phone camera resolution and TV resolution issue , If LiveKit could add a mobile phone preset ?
a
so is that working for you…? if not, what issue do you see?
b
TV received from mobile phone video resolution improved, but sometimes received video resolution downgrade like below
e
VP9 isn’t properly supported yet on android. it’s currently in progress; does this issue happen on other codecs like vp8/h264?
b
it's fallback to vp8
will try to use h264
I found the log , the quality changed from HIGH to MEDIUM, but I don't know why.
e
what sdk is used for the tv? video quality can change due to the receiving end reporting a smaller resolution (adaptive streaming), or change due to network constraints
b
Android sdk
version 1.2.1 looks like can't setup the video codec h264 and vp9
