That's an odd error, can I see full code ?
b
thank you for response
you can use fresh credentials:

I've haven't heard of Tuist can you explain how it works with LiveKit ?
b
sure, Tuist is project generation tool (same like XcodeGen) with its own build project flow. It's similar to SPM project generation blue print where you have Project.swift file with all set-up instruction. Some time ago (I think after moving to version 3.0) they changed SPM package connection way. Looks like instead of a connection package like SPM, they create framework, loads package and connects to the project. Similar like pods. Sry, I don't have much knowledge about Tuist workflow
How it connected with plain SPM
How it connected with Tuist
b
Hmm thanks, can I see the code around add(delegate:) ?
b
this is 100% demo example code
just used Tuist as project generation tool
You can download zip and run 1.
cd LiveKitTuist
2.
tuist fetch
3.
tuist generate
I've copied / pasted all demo files
also I've tested UIKit version and it crashed in same place when It calls:
room.localParticipant?.setCamera(enabled: true)
room.localParticipant?.setMicrophone(enabled: true)
also I made another test, added all dependencies, and copied executable LiveKit files directly to the target instead connecting LiveKit dependency:
<https://github.com/livekit/client-sdk-swift.git>
It works
From tuist docs
Although there are similarities between both tools, the Swift Package Manager (SPM)'s main focus is on dependencies. With Tuist, instead of defining packages that SPM integrates into your projects, you define your projects using concepts you are already familiar with: projects, workspaces, targets, and schemes.
b
Ok thanks I'll give it a try
b
thx, it's super easy. 2 commands. I've prepared everything. https://github.com/tuist/tuist/files/12377442/LiveKitTuist.zip
b
I can confirm the crash
It might be something related to the use of deprecated classes ObservableRoom/ObservableParticipant
Can you try with another minimal example ?
b
What example I should try? Can test anything you want. Also I have doubts, about deprecated classes. I’ve tried uikit-minimal example and it crashed as well when you set camera enabled or remote enables camera or mic
b
I see thats odd I wonder how Tuist affects to cause crashes
b
What can we do? How can I help you?
d
Hey Artem, we do not support Tuist. If using it somehow causes a crash here, my suggestion is to avoid using Tuist and LiveKit together for now. As you can imagine, our teams have a pretty packed roadmap and there is no guarantee when we will have time to look into compatibility with Tuist.
