Just to be sure I understand, you’re using WHIP Ingress from OBS and latency in the past month seems to have increased from ~500ms to >2s?
i
correct
the 500ms wasn’t measured very strictly but I would say that it is a conservative value, it might have been even less

Ok, this is a question for @chilly-animal-65189 when he’s back online tomorrow

ok thank you. and I have not really done any test between July 10th and August 2nd (well looking at my livekit dashboard, it seems I tested once end of July but I don’t actually remember what the latency was at that time, probably was less than 500ms but I am not 100% certain so could be that it was too high already)
@chilly-animal-65189 what is the rough latency that I should expect?
d
There should be no reason for it to take more than 500ms.. with some optimizations, I think we can get that down to 200ms

Makes sense - yeah I am not sure why I am seeing such a high latency. Let me know if there is any logs that I can pull from the client side… but I am not sure whether obs exposes a ton of info by default. is there a way for you to see on the server side the latency between ingress and egress?
We could confirm that you see the same thing, I am happy to DM my ingress id / run it whenever
a
if you DM it to me I’ll put it in a ticket that Benjamin can look at when he’s online
d
could you send me your OBS config? we'd like to try it on our side to see if we can reproduce

sure
shared more specific info over Slack DMs
this is back to roughly 1.25 / 1.5 seconds
