The location of your server should be of no consequence. Once a session is established, media flows between our servers and client devices. Can you link us to a session/participants in the LK Cloud dash where you’ve noticed issues with lag? Can you describe a bit more specifically what you’re seeing happen?

Thanks @magnificent-art-43333. I will revert on this in the next few hours with a sample.

Revisiting this topic, @magnificent-art-43333. I am attaching a video sample here. I tested again a few minutes ago and the experience is the same (sometimes, when you refresh the page, it becomes very stable).

Hmm, are you the only person in that meeting? That doesn’t seem right. That’s local video… cc @dry-elephant-14928
b
Yes, I am the only person in the meeting
d
can you reproduce the issue with meet.livekit.io ?
b
@dry-elephant-14928, apology for not replying late; i have been under the weather and just getting back to work.
I have been conducting more tests and using meet.livekit.io seems to work fine. in fact, joining a room directly from my M2 macbook works fine. However, the issue occurs when the laptop is connected to a monitor and the room is joined. This does not happen all the time though.
Unrelated to this original issue
, is there a repo that demonstrates having a Bot joining a room to provide real-time transcription? I could see the KITT repo is doing something a bit similar, however, I would like to know if there is some kind of built-it functionality that can be extended to acheive this purpose.

If your local video is having issues in Meet, it's indicative of some local processing that might be happening on your computer itself.. how much CPU/GPU is it using while rendeirng on the external monitor?
b
I will be able to get the CPU/GPU metrics of the monitor when joining a room in 10 hours from now. I will share it here.
