Hey all. I just initiated a sync (reconnecting Discord in the process) manually to get my channels updated again. This seems to have stopped working a few days ago. It synced a few of my most active channels just fine a gain but a few channels are missing, I posted in one of them after syncing (got an email that the sync was complete) but that post never showed up, even after syncing again. Additionally, it's unclear to me what "the appropriate role" should be for LinenBot and what the "essential" manual assignment would be, any docs on that? I said "I confirm" but.. I have no idea if I have the correct config! 😅

Basically the bot role needs to be the same role a user would need to get access to the channel. We don't have access to see what permissions those are there for its a bit cryptic. We'll improve the messaging. Besides that we are having some performance issues with the sync so will investigate it will get back to you soon!

Certain permissions are automatically assigned to users once they engage with the community onboarding process. However, LinenBot is not able to interact with the onboarding process.

In order for Linenbot to work make sure Linenbot has the same roles and permissions as the users who have completed the onboarding process.

Now I actually understand what I need to do, luckily mine was already equipped with the correct permissions 👍

hey @sebastiaan, we pushed some changes related to permissions, specifically to readonly channels which were introduced quite recently. Would you mind double checking if it's working as expected now?

Ahaaaa! You know what I totally forgot that I made them read-only, that could well be the problem! I'll check again and will update.
